This morning I woke up feeling like complete and utter crap. All the kiddos have been sick and now it is my turn I guess.
I was thinking that I may not make it through this last week of NaBloPoMo because I wouldn't have anything more than, "I feel like crap today." to post. Then I noticed that Krista had tagged me for this 7 weird things about myself meme. Bare with me cause my brain isn't functioning quite as well as I'd like it to.
1. We do Santa around here and every year I have a hard time deciding if I am really bringing the magic of Christmas into my kids lives or am I just lying to them. It seems especially hard right now since my 14yo is constantly telling me that it is all just a bunch of lies. He's becoming a bit synical.
2. This year we have upped the ante on our weird quotient with the relatives. We aren't doing toys for Christmas. Our babes with be receiving handmade gifts, dvd's, games, books, and craft supplies. The big gift will be that they will be able, for the first time in their lives, to spend the day doing whatever they want to do. We have always gone to lunch with my family on Christmas day. Which means there is always arguing about not wanting to get ready, not wanting to leave gifts at home, and on and on and on. So no more.
3. Just a few years ago, I had pink hair. On purpose. I quit doing so many weird things to my appearance because the homeschooling scene around here is very conservative and we weren't making very many friends. Turns out it doesn't matter and we have found some great weird friends anyway.
4. I've never had a new car. And I don't want one. Sure they are super nice, but I don't want to pay for one.
5. The one phobia that I can't seem to get a grip on is my claustrophobia. Spiders I can deal with. Heights too if I have to. But not small spaces. Sometimes clothing can spark up a reaction.
6. I'm a people watcher. Some days there is nothing better than sitting on the couch and watching who drives up and down the street. I don't know any of these people but I like to imagine I know just where they are going.
7. Lastly, I think I am going to say my husband. He's weird in so many ways, but mostly I'm putting him here because when I asked him to tell me something weird about myself, he said, "How would one define weird?" Typical.
Now for the rules:
Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.
Share 7 random and or weird things about yourself.
tag 7 random people participating in nablopomo at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.
let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Now for the tagging:
I'm sorry, but I am going to cop out again and just say if you wanna do it, do it. I am way to tired and crappy right now to fight this dial up to find folks to tag.
And now I am going to curl up on the couch with my babes and watch a movie.
